Browse HPLD’s subscription databases by title. Library database access is available to all onsite library visitors. In addition, all High Plains Library District resident library card holders may access most of the library’s databases from home.

Pay Fines and Fees or Make a Donation
The High Plains Library District has worked with Comprise Technologies to make the SmartPay online payment system available to High Plains library patrons. Full or partial payments as well as donations can be made through this system as long as you have:
•Access to a computer
•Your library card and PIN
•Your credit/debit card through either MasterCard or VISA.
The online payment system meets PCI compliance requirements, and provides real-time updating of your records on the Library’s circulation system.
High Plains Library District, in partnership with Xcel Energy, has added 40 portable Watts Up? meters to the collection. These easy to use meters will help you save energy and make green decisions. Watts Up? meters can be reserved for checkout through the High Plains Library District catalog.
HPLD now has Virtual Chat service available. You can now chat with a HPLD staff person. Our staff can help you with questions about your account, help you find books, articles and research information and more. Service available Monday-Thursday 9:00am-9:00pm; Friday and Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm.

The High Plains Library District offers free limited notary public services. The High Plains Library District will be providing 3 common notary functions to the public: Acknowledgements, Oaths and Affirmations, and Certify Copies. Documents must be unsigned and must be accompanied by a valid photo I.D. of the signer(s). The following locations offer limited Notary Service: Carbon Valley Regional Library, Centennial Park, Erie Community Library, Farr Regional Library, Lincoln Park and Platteville Public Library. Notary service hours vary by location, please call for more details.
