HPLD provides many services you may not be aware of. Some of these services are only available at specific locations so please check with your local library to see which services are available.
Where is the one place that all people in our community can come for inspiration, information and entertainment for life?
The answer is YOUR LIBRARY!
A High Plains Library District resident library card number and a patron PIN number are required to access the library's subscription databases from home.
Most of our database resources may be accessed from outside of the library. A few individual databases may only be accessed from within one of our libraries. Click on the blue information icon next to a database title for additional information.
To access the subscription databases located in the Online Now! guide sections from outside of the library, please review the following directions:
Your PIN is often the last four
digits of the phone number you
provided when you registered for your
library card.
If you cannot remember your PIN please contact your local library.
If you do not have a library card, please see our Get a Card webpage and visit any of our libraries to obtain a library card.
You may obtain a temporary virtual library card (click on the NEW USER button) which enables you to access our databases for a limited time.
If you experience any difficulties while trying to access our database collection, please review the Databases & Web Resources Help pages. The Help pages contains information related to such topics as computer settings, computer security settings, borrower types and related access restrictions.
If you have any further questions or comments please contact us via our website’s Contact Us form.
